Cybex Health Club & Spa to open at the Crowne Plaza in Jerusalem

In the coming days the Crown Plaza Hotel in Jerusalem will inaugurate a new branch of the Cybex health club and spa, at a cost of 4 million shekels.  CEO of Africa Israel Hotels Ltd.: “This is a continuation of the general upgrade that has taken place in the hotel during the last couple of years at a cost of 40 million shekels.”

The Africa-Israel hotel chain, which holds the franchise for the Crown Plaza and Holiday Inn in Israel, has signed a cooperation agreement with Lapidot Sport, who run the Cybex health club and spa chain.  As part of the agreement, other hotels in the chain will open health clubs and spa under the Cybex brand name.

The new fitness centre covers an area of 1,000 square metres and includes a sports gym covering 140 square metres, a spinning studio, 6 treatment rooms, dry and wet saunas, power showers and more.

According to Jacob Sudri, CEO of Africa Israel Hotels Ltd this is another step in the company’s strategic program to improve and expand the hotels. “According to this, the new health club and spa which will open in the coming days at the Crowne Plaza in Jerusalem is a direct continuation of the general upgrade of the hotel which has taken place in the last two years at a cost of 40 million shekels.

The Africa-Israel hotel chain includes 11 hotels in Israel, a spa hotel in Kislovodsk Russia and a hotel in the centre of Moscow, a hotel in Germany and three hotels in Romanian capital, Bucharest.  In the coming months, the company is expected to inaugurate a new business hotel in Moscow and a new Crown Plaza hotel in Ashdod.

Lapidot Sport is the Israeli representative for Cybex, the American fitness equipment manufacturer and chain of health clubs and spas.  Cybex has seven branches throughout Israel as well as a branch in Prague.
