The Rimonim hotel chain has reported that they have signed a management agreement with the Shalom Hotel in Jerusalem for 10 years. From now the hotel will be known as the Rimonim Shalom.  The general manager of Rimonim, Reuven Alex: “This is a significant step for the hotel in expanding to all parts of the country.

The Shalom Hotel with its 288 rooms is the eight member of the Rimonim chain which now numbers 1,265 rooms.  The Rimonim Shalom Hotel, located on the hillside in the Beit Vagan neighbourhood, has a 4 star rating.  The hotel includes banquet and conference rooms, with facilities for up to 700 guests and a half size Olympic swimming pool.

Reuven Alex, general manager of the Rimonim chain, said that the importance of having a hotel in Jerusalem, where until now there was none represents a significant step for the company in its strategy to expand throughout the country.

This is the second hotel in two years that the French company has added, since adding the Rimonim Marina Club in Eilat to the chain.

Until now the chain comprised seven hotels: Rimonim Eilat in Eilat, Rimonim Gali Kinneret in Tiberias, Ruth Rimonim in Safed, Rimonim Optima in Ramat Gan, Rimonim Hermon Holiday Village in Neve Ativ, Rimonim Maayan in Nazareth and Rimonim Marina Club in Eilat.
