British Airways is offering lower prices, with a sale on economy class flights to London, New York and Los Angeles.  British Airways: “The discounts are almost 50 percent down on prices of last summer.”

British Airways announced details of a deal, offering flights to London and to destinations in the United States, reduced on average by 15 percent compared with the prices for 2009 and 50 percent down on last summer.

 “Last week we started a massive sale, with unprecedented offers for business class passengers and this week, before the arrival of the high holydays, we continue to lower prices for economy class passengers, for the benefit of all those who already want to purchase air tickets and to travel during the upcoming period of the high holydays and especially for the whole winter season,” said Yael Katan, commercial manager of British Airways in Israel.

So from the period from 9th until 16th August, British Airways is offering return flights to London in economy class from $417, to New York from $703 and to Los Angeles from $811.  These prices apply on flights taking off from Israel, between the dates 1st September 2009 until 31st March 2010.
