Arkia: Cooperation with US Airways on destinations in the USA

Arkia Airlines has announced that it will operation regular flights from Paris to the United States; this in line with the agreement with American airline US Airways, which began operating flights to Israel in the last week.  During this first stage, Arkia will offer 7 continuing flights from Paris to destinations within the United States.

Based on the announcement from Arkia, at this first stage they will be offering regular flights to Paris with the option of continuing to Philadelphia for a price of $899.  The intention is that Arkia will broaden their list of destinations in conjunction with US Airways to 7 additional destinations within the United States.

Arkia reported that this is the second time that they have had the option of operating continuing flights. Until now they operated continuing flights to the Far East, via flights to Amman.

David Mahleb, deputy CEO of Arkia said that at this time the company is looking to broaden its agreements with European airlines, allowing its passengers to enjoy attractive prices and high availability to long haul destinations.

“With our entrance to these destinations, we see it as an opportunity for Israeli passengers to enjoy competitive prices throughout the year, like we’ve seen with the opening up of regular routes to European destinations,” he added.

In recent days El Al also announced details of cooperation with the TUI Group with the aim of operating flights to Montreal and in the future to additional destinations via flights from Paris.
