Go-Galil conference to take place in September

From 10th-14th September, the Galilee Development Authority in cooperation with the local tourist associations will show off the attractions and sites of the area to travel agents and wholesalers from overseas.  This international tourism event is intended to promote incoming tourism to the region.

The 14th International Galilee Tourist Marketing Event organised by the Galilee Development Authority, sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and hosted by the regional tourist associations and El Al will provide educational sightseeing tours at tourist sites in Tiberias, Nazareth, Bet Shean, Acre and the Golan Heights.  The purpose is to support and encourage foreign tourism to the region for the winter season of 2010.


According to the event organisers, Ortra Limited, the sightseeing trips will be conducted in English, Russian and German. Among the events will be a boat trip on the Sea of Galilee, a guided tour of the sites of Nazareth, views of the region from vantage points on the Golan Heights, a historical multimedia spectacle at Beit Shean, a guided tour of Acre and mountain biking around the Sea of Galilee.  Apart from the sightseeing tours, the five day conference also includes lectures, press conferences and evening events.  

The air fare for participants to Tel Aviv from European El Al gateways will be $100 return, while for visitors from North and South America, Asia and South Africa the return fare will be $250, these prices excluding airport taxes.  Apart from hotel extras and travel insurance everything else will be complimentary, including hotel accommodation and meals and transfers to and from Ben Gurion Airport.
