El Al to start code share with Montenegro Airlines

A high level delegation of representatives from El Al and Knafaim Holdings held talks in Montenegro with the local Minister of Transport and the heads of Montenegro Airlines.  A range of subjects were discussed, among them cooperation on tourism with emphasis on special understandings and especially code share agreements.

Haim Romano, CEO of El Al said cooperation between El Al and Montenegro Airlines will open up new destinations for the Israeli traveller, which is hoped will encourage tourist traffic to Montenegro, mainly in the light of the opening of new hotels and new tourist centers.  He commented that there is already great interest from Israelis and it is hoped that Montenegro will become a popular tourist destination this coming summer.

In light of this cooperation, El Al's subsidiary company Sun d'Or, will start operating regular flights to a number of attractive tourist destinations in Montenegro from the end of May.

The scheduled flights will commence as soon as a bilateral agreement between the government's of the two countries has been reached.
