The new campaign which has the slogan “Welcome to Turkey”, invites the Israeli tourist to vacation in Turkey. “The Israelis miss Turkey and the Turks miss the Israelis” said Chen Inbar, the owner of Inbar, Merhav and Shaked advertising agency who has produced the campaign.
In recent weeks a number of bodies from both sides within the tourism industry have been attempting to resolve the dispute between the two countries, and to return to the status quo where Turkey was the preferred destination for Israeli tourists. During January and February there was a fall of more than 40 percent in air traffic between Israel and Turkey.
