British Airways announced an immediate reduction in the price of their air fares from Tel Aviv to London, United States and Canada. The lower prices valid with immediate effect will also include flights taken during the Passover holiday period and will last until the beginning of the summer.
For example, a tourist class return flight from Tel Aviv to London will cost US$581, while to New York US$806; prices inclusive of tax, airport taxes and service charge and are valid on bookings made until 30th April 2009 and on departures from Israel up to 30th June 2009.
Other offers from British Airways include lower prices on both tourist and business class to destinations on the eastern side of the United States and Canada; (New York, Miami, Chicago, Boston, Washington, Philadelphia, Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, Baltimore, Toronto, Montreal), as well as uniform lower prices on flights to the western United States and Canada (San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Phoenix, Denver, Houston, Dallas, Vancouver, Calgary)
Prices for passengers traveling premium class have for example been reduced by between a quarter and a third, making them especially attractive for passengers. For those planning a holiday during the Passover holiday or at the beginning of the summer these prices will also be valid; in effect making the best product available at low cost prices.
The basic price of an air ticket between Tel Aviv and London has been reduced a number of times since October 2008; but has gone down overall by nearly19%. This reduction attributed to the sharp fall in oil prices combined with the global economic recession.
