Dan Hotels plan for the Passover holiday

According to Beeri, the reservations are mostly from Israelis who were planning family holidays overseas, but have now changed their plans and intend to spend the Passover holiday with their families in Israel.  Dan hotels in Jerusalem however, expect their hotels in the city to be full, mostly of overseas tourists.

Despite the current world economic crisis and the recent security issues, which have resulted in Israeli hotels being almost bereft of foreign tourists, Beeri has not lost hope: “This period presents us with some exceptional challenges. We hope that both the global and local tourist industry can recover as soon as possible and that foreign tourists will once again return to Israel, with the same level of activity that was experienced during 2008.”

Some of the optimism results from the inauguration in recent days of two new executive floors at the Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv.  This includes a Presidential Suite, business lounge and executive rooms.  The design and service provided on the Carmel floors is different to that in the rest of the hotel, so as to provide these guests with their own premium service.

Beeri:  “The renovation of the Dan Panorama shows a continuation of the strategy of Dan Hotels and indicates that we believe in the speedy recovery of the tourist industry.   Chen Michaeli, general manager of the Dan Panorama in Tel Aviv, explained that the Carmel floors are compatible with the worldwide trend that characterizes tourism today with the creation of “a hotel within a hotel.”  The aim is to respond to the needs of different target audiences.  He added that business guests stay in the hotel throughout the year, while families visit mostly during the tourist season.

The eighteen floor Dan Panorama Hotel in Tel Aviv is located on the Tel Aviv beachfront. It has almost 500 bedrooms of which 345 are deluxe rooms, 116 executive sea view rooms on the Carmel floor, 6 junior suites, 6 club suites, 2 executive suites and a new Presidential suite on the 18th floor.
