El Al this week reported that during their special general election sales offer, it is estimated that they sold about 12,000 airline tickets during the two day period.   During the campaign tickets were sold to leading destinations in Europe and the United States with discounts of between $100-$200.

The special prices offered by El Al on 9-10 February were aimed at supporting sales for the spring and summer seasons and included tickets to New York for $599, Bangkok $999, Paris $499, Barcelona $439, and London $539.

According to Haim Romano, El Al kept its promise to the public and the moment the price of fuel fell and stabilized at $40 a barrel, the company reduced the price of their tickets significantly, coming out with a list of special offers to all destinations.

Amit Livni, head of marketing for El Al added that the success of the special offer is further proof that the public prefers to travel with El Al. “We made great efforts to offer our customers the most attractive prices throughout the year and to all destinations.
