IMTM opens tomorrow
 
Between 11th and 12th February the International Mediterranean Tourist Market will take place at the Tel Aviv Fairground. Taking part in the 15th annual fair will be tour operators from Israel and from around the World. The fair will be open to members of the public, free of charge from 3pm on both days

Turkish Airlines cuts capacity to Israel
 
Despite the dramatic slowdown in passenger traffic from Israel, representatives of Turkish Airlines in Israel have decided to cancel only one of their four daily flights during February. Moris Kant marketing manager: "During January we clung on to all flights by our fingernails."

Black January for Ben Gurion airport
 
Based on data released by the Israel Airports Authority, in the last month a total of 584,677 passengers passed through Ben Gurion Airport on 6,229 international and internal flights. The international passenger traffic stood at 558,770 a reduction of 15% compared to 2008

Research: Israeli Outgoing tourism to fall in 2009
 
Two thirds of the Israeli public planning to take a holiday in 2009. This was the result of a survey carried out in the wake of the annual tourist fair (IMTM) which takes place on 11th to 12th February at the Tel Aviv Exhibition Grounds. 2.3 million Israelis travelled overseas during 2008.

Major marketing investment by Ministry of Tourism
 
Director-general Shaul Zemach and senior marketing management of the Ministry of Tourism are in the US to maintain and strengthen tourist traffic from North America to Israel. During their visit they will meet with the senior members of the Ministry of Tourism in North America, in order coordinate a marketing plan

Israel reacts to FAA downgrade
 
Minister of Transport and senior management from the Israel Airports Authority carried out a tour of Ben Gurion Airport tour last Thursday, in order see first hand the new landing equipment, which is shortly to be implemented.
